Here are a few we’ve been to in the past few months that you might enjoy before or after the visiting Hidden Wonders.
Wild Thyme
Wild Thyme Restaurant is a casual option for traditional Mediterranean/Middle Eastern fare served in cozy digs with a patio. If you have never tried Lebanese food this is the place to try first.
Stefanos – Lounge and Restaurant
Stefanos Restaurant is a family-owned establishment going strong since 1994. Stefan and Rachel are amazing hosts the food is amazing. They specialize in Greek food, but you can get a steak or pasta as well. They also offer a large dance floor and an enthusiastic band! There is also a lounge on the street level offering even more lively times and good sips to an evening out. Stefanos has been a part of the community and witnessed many changes to Columbia Street during its time. It has remained an anchor on the “last block before the bridge” and continues to do so with customer, staff, and family support.
El Santo
Contemporary, upscale Mexican dishes pair with cocktails, wine & tequila in a trendy setting. The menu is spectacular, they have awesome tacos, also the selection of tequilas and mezcals is incredible. Alejandro Diaz, the owner, has created something special here that you should check out.
The Old Spaghetti Factory
The Old Spaghetti Factory is an Italian-style chain restaurant just a short walk from Hidden Wonders. Their menu is huge and the servings are as well. Their all inclusive menu offers fresh daily from scratch sauces and dressings and of course, their hot sourdough bread, minestrone soup or tossed salad, spumoni ice cream and freshly ground coffee or hot tea round out all of their meals.
Candy Alley
Candy Alley is a unique spot to visit if you love candy. Sheryl, the owner, is a delightful human being and her selection of candy is out of this world. They are locate inside the SkyTrain station which is just a short walk from Hidden Wonders.
PIVA
This stylish, contemporary Italian restaurant offers modern Italian fare with local ingredients. They are walking distance from Hidden Wonders.
RICK BRONSON’S HOUSE OF COMEDY
Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy on Columbia Street offers the very best in live stand-up comedy, showcasing top comedians weekly. If you plan to make a weekend visit to New Westminster this is a wonderful way to spend an evening laughing and dining.
